Contemporary Calligraphy Workshop II

Тhe creative master class, led by Mihaela Mihaylova Misha Mar and organised for students of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the "Konstantin Preslavski" University of Shumen, introduced young artists to classical and contemporary calligraphy techniques as well as sumi-e painting. Participants worked with specialized materials and tools, learning fundamental brush movements, steps, and methods of the traditional Japanese art form.

The workshop program included painting different phases of the Moon using calligraphy ink on white and red paper, creating artistic bookmarks with Indian Ink, and reviewing catalogs and specialized calligraphy supplies generously provided by Schmincke and their official retailer Kobalt. The event concluded with a guided tour and discussion of the exhibition Portraits of the Moon in Black.
